Nia Okafor can solve anything. At seventeen, she's the best cryptographer in her school's club, which is why the notes start arriving in her locker. Each is a cipher. Each one, solved, reveals something about the fire that killed a student in the library two years ago. Nia thinks it's a prank until she cracks a cipher that lists her name as the next target. Working with the dead student's brother, she decodes a trail that runs from a witness to a time to a district office and straight into the hands of a teacher she trusted. The fire wasn't a crime. It was a cover-up. And the person who sent the ciphers has been waiting two years for someone smart enough to read them. A thriller for readers who like their puzzles solved and their villains human.
