One canceled flight. One rental car. Fourteen hundred miles from Vancouver to Columbus. Anton Vasko and Kade Moreau have been the best defensive pair in the Coastal League for three seasons and the only two people who have ever been allowed inside each other's apartments. Sebastian Oduya is twenty-one years old, newly called up, and carrying a folder of video every team in the division is trying to buy. Four days on the road with no signal and no privacy and one motel at a time. By Nebraska, one of them has said the thing out loud. By Iowa, another has admitted he has known for years. By Ohio, the third has decided which team he actually wants. It is not a club. A dark MMM hockey forced-proximity romance about the space between two men and the third who fits.
