The Road to Miklagard
Anxious for adventure and still longing for the sea, Harald, the young Viking hero of VIKING'S DAWN, is readily persuaded to join Prince Arkil of Denmark in a quest lor the treasure guarded by the Irish giant, Grummoch.
Thus begins a strange and exciting series of adventures which take Harald and his shipmates from their native fjords to Ireland, Moorish Spain, and across the Mediterranean to the golden domes of Constantinople (Miklagard), and after many hardships overland through Central Europe to their home again.
Full of color and movement, of battles and escapes, of long voyages across most of the known world, of treachery and loyalty, of courage and steadfast friendships, the story describes with sympathy and understanding a world younger and harsher than the one we know. An exciting adventure story in a remarkable setting.
The Viking Trilogy is a trilogy of juvenile historical novels by Henry Treece. They are Viking's Dawn, The Road to Miklagard and Viking's Sunset.
