In 2018, the first genetically modified children were born. Now we have the tools to reshape the future of our species. With a pair of genetic scissors known as CRISPR, we can select the traits of our children, avoid ageing, or cure disease. Couverture audiobook de Scrambles Amongst The Alps In The Years 1860-69 (Unabridged), de Edward Whymper
Slingshot Books LLC | 4 août 2022

Scrambles Amongst the Alps is one the great classics of early mountaineering literature, and Edward Whymper one of the leading figures of the early years of Alpine climbing. He is best known, of course, for his many attempts on the Matterhorn, and for the loss of four members of his climbing party after the successful first ascent of the peak in July, 1865. Although the Matterhorn stands in ways in the center of his book, there are descriptions of many other ascents as well, in the Alps of France and Italy, as well as those of Switzerland. His book, incidentally, has many of his drawings in it , and listeners might wish to call up the .pdf file from which it is read, to have the benefit of the illustrations.
