"Evylyn, I'm going to give a present that's as hard as you are and as beautiful and as empty and as easy to see through."

When New York housewife Evylyn Piper receives a cut-glass bowl from a former boyfriend as a wedding gift, it's like the bowl brings a curse along with it. As years go by, a downward spiral seems to engulf her family and all she has to blame is that cursed bowl.

Fitzgerald's descriptions are vivid and spellbinding. In 'The Cut-Glass Bowl' he explores themes of unrealized dreams inherent to middle age, which he would later dive deeper into with 'The Greats Gatsby'.

B. J. Harrison started his Classic Tales Podcast back in 2007, wanting to breathe new life into classic stories. He masterfully plays with a wide array of voices and accents and has since then produced over 500 audiobooks. Now in collaboration with SAGA Egmont, his engaging narration of these famous classics is available to readers everywhere.

F. Scott Fitzgerald (1896-1940) was an American author, who wrote four novels and hundreds of short stories. He is most famous for 'The Great Gatsby' (1925) and for his tumultuous relationship with wife Zelda Fitzgerald during the Jazz Age.
