The Marsupilami, a mysterious animal that Spirou and Fantasio discovered in the jungle of Palombia, now resides in their local zoo. When he seems to drop dead suddenly, the reporters storm into the park demanding explanations. Much to everyone's surprise, though, the body has disappeared stolen! The two adventurers lose the thief after a night-time chase, but they will not abandon their friend, no matter where their loyalty may take them!

Gomer is a genius and a walking hazard - it is known. But often overlooked is how he's far from the only one. In his daily efforts at subverting the professional world, he's often accompanied by his menagerie - trickster cat, temperamental gull, voracious mouse and even, on occasion, a goldfish - and his brothers in laziness and silly ideas, Jules and Bertie. In Chiquito, capital of Palombia, the old Marsupilami in the municipal zoo feels his end coming, and would like to die free, in the legendary Marsupilami graveyard. Warned by an escaped parrot, our Marsu sets off towards the city, along with Bip and Sarah, the two jungle orphans, to free his elder. There's a problem, though: Chiquito is in the middle of a revolution against its latest dictator, Baby Prinz. And in Palombia, revolution is a national sport!

Deep inside the Palombian jungle lies Monte Urticando, an ancient, nigh inaccessible volcano where millennia old cactuses grow. Every 15 years they flower, and the pollen temporarily drives away most of the dangerous predators. For the Marsupilamis, though, it's also the signal for a strange and cruel tradition: it's time for the young Marsus to learn how to fend for themselves, away from the protection of their parents. Will they learn to work together to survive?

Off the coast of Palombia, a freighter is at anchor, immobilised by mysterious engine trouble. It is transporting the Zabaglione Circus and its main attraction: a black Marsupilami! When the animal escapes thanks to a kind clown, he finds himself in the middle of a jungle he has never known. And as if helping out this clumsy newcomer wasn't enough for the local Marsupilami family, they also have to face the march of progress, as a highway is built through their home!

A plane carrying two Chinese government envoys goes down in the Palombian jungle. A crate is parachuted out just before the crash. It contains a baby panda, official gift of China to a neighbouring country. The young survivor is found and taken in by the Marsupilami's family, but they soon face a serious problem: their new charge only eats bamboo - the only local source of which lies inside the nearby native village...

Welcome to the offices of Spirou Magazine. Everyone here is hard at work to keep the magazine ticking, from reporters to secretaries, including editor Fantasio and even, occasionally, Spirou himself. Everyone? Well, not quite... There's that office boy, Gomer. No one's entirely sure what his job description is, or how he got hired. One thing is certain, though: he's a walking disaster zone! From work-shirking scheme to disastrous invention, enter the hilarious world of the most famous layabout of all!

Het kortverhaal "Boeven op de kermis" dateert uit 1959 en verscheen als tweede verhaal in "Het nest van de Marsupilami's", het twaalfde album van Robbedoes en Kwabbernoot. Grootmeester André Franquin bespeelt er enkele van zijn geliefkoosde thema's in. Zo zijn de scenes op de kermis weergaloos in beeld gebracht. Naast Robbedoes en Kwabbernoot komen ook Spip en de Marsupilami in het verhaal voor, maar de hoofdrol wordt uiteraard opgeëist door de verstrooide Guust!

Een origineel verjaardagscadeau voor Kwabbernoot? Guust hoeft er zich niet suf over te tobben. Als hij toevallig drie intelligente apen ontdekt, moet hij niet langer zoeken. Het idee was een briljante vondst waarmee André Franquin heel even een brug kon slaan tussen de werelden van Guust en die van Robbedoes en Kwabbernoot...

Buitenaardse wezens volgen een cursus mycologie bij de Graaf van Rommelgem. Een incident breekt uit wanneer sommige van hen op heterdaad worden betrapt terwijl ze cider aan het stelen zijn.

De Graaf van Rommelgem brengt een dinosaurusei mee van een expeditie in het Zuidpool. Als de Graaf in Rommelgem aankomt, gaat het ei open ...

Nadat Guust ons eerder een eerste verzameling groene gags liet zien, is nu een tweede reeks grappen van Andre Franquin gebundeld met themateksten over milieu en biodiversiteit. Lezers van vorige generaties mogen dan wel beseffen dat auteur Franquin een groene jongen avant la lettre was, maar bij de 'groentjes' van vandaag is dat wellicht minder bekend. Gilles Dal schreef, in samenwerking met Thierry Lucas van de UNEP (United Nations Environment Programme), een leerzame tekst over biodiversiteit anno 2010 bij een selectie Guustgags die een duidelijk beeld geven van het 'groene' traject van Andre Franquin.

Een zeer gevaarlijk product werd uit een kerncentrale geroofd. Robbedoes en Kwabbernoot stellen een onderzoek in.

De uitvinder van een machine die het klimaat kan veranderen, wordt ontvoerd. Robbedoes en Kwabbernoot gaan naar hem op zoek.

Onze twee avonturiers vertrekken voor een reportage over de gorilla's van de Kilimankiheuvel. Bandieten vrezen dat ze daar hun onwettige activiteiten zullen ontdekken.

De Turbotractie wordt benijd: ontwerpdiefstal, de sabotage van de fabriek, enz. Onze twee helden vertrekken naar Afrika om het ontwerp van de superauto terug te vinden.

In 1955 werd dit korte verhaal van 18 pagina's gepubliceerd in het weekblad Robbedoes. Franquin laat er enkele duistere personages in opdraven die drie jaar eerder hun opwachting al maakten in De Roof van de Marsupilami. De Super Quick is een avontuur van twee werelden: een Amerikaanse slee met blinkend chroom komt op het Oude Continent in de toonzalen. De Super Quick, het symbool voor de vooruitgang van de jaren vijftig en zestig, wordt uitgeleend aan Robbedoes en Kwabbernoot. Zij kregen de opdracht het voertuig uit te testen om er vervolgens een artikel voor de autorubriek aan te wijden. Maar de auto wordt gestolen...Dit verhaal is Franquin ten voeten uit: avontuur, spanning, auto's en de kunst om met deze prachtige voertuigen de spectaculairste ongevallen te laten gebeuren. Geremastered, opnieuw ingekleurd, voorzien van facsimiles van de originele platen en becommentarieerd door José-Louis Bocquet en Serge Honorez. Na Bravo Brothers, Boeven op de Kermis, De Graaf is Verstrooid en Een Rustige Vakantie is dit het vijfde verhaal dat Franquin tekende tussen Het Schuilhol van het Zeemonster en Het Masker der Stilte en dat op deze manier geherwaardeerd wordt.

Robbedoes en Kwabbernoot vertrekken naar de Far West voor een reportage en worden aangeworven als sheriff.
