Stuck in the Swamp with a Skunk Ape
The sunniest nurse in Florida. The grumpiest airboat captain in the Everglades. One hurricane. One very small houseboat.
Hallie Calloway is a traveling nurse who loves everybody and has never once unpacked her suitcase. Her new thirteen-week contract takes her to tiny Everglades City, and straight onto the worst-rated airboat tour in the county.
Augustus is eight feet tall, covered in russet fur, and a skunk ape. According to every online review, he smells like a dumpster fire. He doesn't like tourists. He definitely doesn't like cheerful nurses who show up every Saturday with muffins.
She's the first person who's noticed that he smells like summer rain when he's happy. And when a Category 3 hurricane strands her on his houseboat, the grump and the sunshine are going to have to share a very small space.
Stuck in the Swamp with a Skunk Ape is a hilarious, heartfelt monster romcom with grumpy sunshine and forced proximity, a hurricane, a houseboat, and a first kiss in the eye of the storm, spoonbills, manatees, and glowing bay water, a road trip north to the snowy small town of Hemlock Hollow, a closed door, and a guaranteed happily-ever-after.
