Ce recueil propose une centaine d'exercices d'arithmétique, d'algèbre et de géométrie qui entraînent efficacement le cerveau aux mathematiques. Chaque collégien, en fonction de son niveau, y trouvera des exercices ludiques de révision de ses connaissances et des problèmes lui permettant de progresser et de relever de nouveaux défis. Dr. Zbigniew Romanowicz, a été un professeur reconnu et un fervent promoteur des mathématiques auprès des jeunes. Il a appartenu à la très reconnue Ecole polono-russe des mathématiques et a été directeur de l'Institut de mathématiques de la Faculté de technologie de l'Université de Wroclaw en Pologne. Dans les années 19922004, il a présidé le jury du Championnat polonais de mathématiques et des jeux de logique qui fait partie du Comité International des jeux mathématiques basé à Paris. Il a dirigé un club de mathématiques interscolaire très populaire et fut le président du Comité des Olympiades régionales de mathématiques. Il fut un membre actif de la Société polonaise des mathématiques. Ing. Dr. Bartholomew Dyda, diplômé de la Faculté des problèmes fondamentaux de technologie de l'Université de Wroclaw en Pologne, travaille à l'Institut de mathématiques et d'informatique à la Faculté de technologie de l'Université de Wroclaw. Depuis 1992, il participe, avec succès, à des championnats de mathématiques et des jeux de logique, ayant remporté par 2 fois la médaille de bronze des Championnats Internationnaux de mathématiques et de jeux de logique à Paris.

He was an avid promoter of mathematics and an activist of the Polish Mathematical Society.Bartholomew Dyda, Eng. D., a graduate of the Faculty of Fundamental Problems of Technology at the Wroclaw University of Technology in Poland, is working at the Institute of Mathematics and Computer Science at the Wroclaw University of Technology. Since 1992 he competes in the Mathematical and Logic Games championships, achieving considerable success. This report looks at how scientific advice can best support crisis management during transnational crises, such as those provoked by natural hazards or pandemics. Scientific advice has an important role to play in all phases of the crisis management cycle - preparedness, response and recovery. It can be particularly valuable during the sense-making period when a crisis occurs and develops. However, this value is dependent on the quality and timeliness of the advice and most importantly its relevance to the decisions that crisis managers and policy-makers have to make during a crisis. Generating rigorous scientific advice requires access to relevant data, information and expertise, across scientific disciplines and across borders. Ensuring this advice is useful requires effective connections between scientific advisory processes and crisis management mechanisms, including at the international level.
